Reality of death: Lessons for Muslims

“Everyone shall taste death. And only on the day of resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the fire and admitted to paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception.” – (Qur’an 3:185).

In the name of Almighty Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Thanks be to Almighty Allah (SWT), the Fashioner of all creatures. May His peace be upon the Messenger sent as mercy to the whole world, Prophet Muhammad Mustapha (SAW), his household, companions and all the righteous Muslims world over (Amin).
Nigerians, particularly those in position of power, should remember that death is real, and no one can run away from it, for the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) reported to have said that:

The death of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua came as a shock to everybody in Nigeria but I believe that  it is only diseases that can be cured nothing can be done to reverse death as shown in the above verse of the Qur’an.
The president had come and gone, he was born as we were all born. We should believe that whatever has been destined for every individual shall come to pass one day.
Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was reported to have said in one of his traditions that:–

You should become the children of the next world and not the children of this world. You should take note of the fact that every child follows his mother.”
At this juncture, let me commiserate with the family of our departed President Yar’Adua, the government and people of Katsina State and indeed Nigerians in general.  May Allah (SWT) reward him with Al-Jannah Firdaus (Amin). “Truly! To Allah (SWT) we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.”Qur’an 2: 156.

“Everyone of you is a supervisor and everyone is to be questioned about whatever he has to supervise. The Imam (the religious leader) who is to look after the people will be asked about his people and the man who is to look after the members of his family he is to be asked about the people of his family and the woman who is to look after the house of her husband and his children will be asked about the house and the children. The slave who is to supervise the financial affairs of his master will be questioned about all what is given in his charge. Take note of it, that all of you are
